EUROPEAN COUNTRIES close in with West meeting East on newly re-opened travel routes. Through music and the arts, we invite you to explore further afield with our ticket service developing in many Eastern cities.
CZECH REPUBLIC. In Prague, venues are very active all year round including featuring an all Verdi and an all Mozart Festivals. The Winter and Spring Festivals complement them for an all round season.
FRANCE. Starting north with the Academies Musicales in Saintes (July), the Orange Festival (July) in the historic Theatre Antique easily combine with the International Festival of Aix-en-Provence as well as with other summer festivals in Italy, Austria and Germany.
WAGNER! of course it’s Bayreuth the ultimate location for his magic work at best. The Ring will be a NEW production in 2006 and it may be just the year to keep that long standing promise to be there yourself.
MOZART! MOZART! This year’s 250th Anniversary of birth could not be just a family affair. It’s all over Austria, all over Europe and the world. What a great opportunity to see some of his finest pieces in your favourite venue or destination anywhere!
AUSTRIA
Salzburg. Already a major international music destination, Salzburg above all will celebrate Mozart, its most famous son. On the occasion the programme of performances in all its numerous venues has increased to include a number of special productions in honour of the composer to make its winter as busy as its summer festival season.
Vienna. In tune with the events in Salzburg, the city plays host to many performances in the Staats and Volks Opera Houses as well as to dedicated programmes:
Concerts in Mozarthaus. Performances every Thursday to Sunday from Sept 05 to 29 Jan 06.
Wiener Mozart Concerts in historic costumes - Musikverein, Goldener Saal. Performances every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Last performance Oct 05
Strauss and Mozart Concerts - Hofburg Imperial Palace. Every Saturday and incl. 25, 26 Dec and 1 Jan
