Special Interest Travel
We do not do organised tours, we organise special tours especially for you.
The most refined and original days out in Italy.

Travel by Themes: from the concept of tickets for an event, move on with us to special interest themes. From culture to activities in-depth in any specific area of interest to you. For a day visit to as long as your holiday, contact us to discuss your requirements.
The fragmented history of the Italian peninsula has favoured very strong local cultures that vary greatly from one region to the next. We pride ourselves in a network of local experts who help us bring to you the best that each region and every area has to offer.
Our 'guided experiences' are conducted with passion and in-depth knowledge by specialised guides or enthusiastic owners as far as aristocrats opening doors to exclusive properties.

Veneto.
It is very easy to combine a number of interests when visiting the Veneto. From opera to art and architecture in Palladian Villas, from art museums to historic wine cellars and then the art of cooking and wine growing which differs in every province of the region. All of this can be reached from a single stay in Verona or Venice!, the latter with the addition of special activities such as mask making, gondola rowing classes… or hire your own boat & on board catering for that ultimate romancing, the fireworks provided courtesy of the Venetian Council on the Redentore Celebration in July.

Tuscany.
Finding the best balance between cultural and culinary interests in regions like Tuscany is always a challenge. We offer the possibility of combining any of your interests around Florence, Siena, Arezzo and the Tuscan sea coast, in the Chianti or Brunello di Montalcino vineyards along with visits of exclusive Villas Medicee and Lucchesi or Etruscan archeological sites. Tuscan cooking courses are available at all levels of expertise as well as wine courses conducted by charismatic sommeliers.

Umbria.
The birth place of Italian Renaissance, of St Francis the foundation of a new concept of Catholicism, of Giotto! All this and much more make up the cultural heritage of this low profile, rural yet infinitely beautiful region. In its evocative countryside, some of the best Italian truffles are among the gourmet treats.. our skilfull dogs and their secretive owners will assist you with the helping...

Campania.
We all heard about Naples, Capri, Pompeii but we will lead you further to the Palace of Caserta, built to be a small Versailles, the smaller but major Etruscan sites dotted around the territory or along a trail of poets and artists through sumptuous Villas... Anything else? Of course, anything can be combined with the experience of buffalo mozzarella making techniques and pizza & pasta cooking classes…

Apulia.
An extraordinary region where opulent baroque towns sit on the Ionic coast in great contrast with fortified farm houses on the Tyrrhenian one and with the mysterious pointed roofed farms of the inland plateau. Puglia has recently appeared on tourist guides but few can combine visits to the roman rural churches, hidden in caves to allow secret early Christian meetings, or a visit to Frederic's Norman castle... The Mediterranean diet can be sampled at its best inland in the region with olive oil! and wine among the best Italy produces or through sea food galore in a coastal village perched on a ravine.

Sicily.
The visit to Greek sites could easily fill up a first trip to the island maybe complete with an evening in a Greek theatre watching a tragedy by Aeschylus, Sophocles or Euripides in the original language. Then again we could concentrate on the Byzantine heritage, another time on the Baroque, and any of these can be enriched with cooking or tasting of multi-cultural influenced dishes, accompanied by the full bodied local wines. Off the island, boat trips to the islands that dot the Sicilian coastline... .

Anything can be mixed in any combination and all is but a sample of our regional highlights. We are of course fully prepared to cater for the exploration of any other region or aspect of interest to you.

We look forward to hearing from you.
